MNESTRA Creates Van Gogh App

Creative company MNESTRA has created an app that explores Vincent Van Goghs life, work, and writing.

Using the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, the company has worked with the Van Gogh Institute to create the app – named Van Goghs Dream because the artist once wrote that he dreamed of exhibiting in a cafe.

The app was created by a team consisting of a writer, a graphic artist, and a creative director. It was created using InDesign and the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.

Loïc Sander, creative director at MNESTRA, says: “Thanks to technology, weve been able to create multiple ways to approach the apps content. Users can enter Van Goghs world via a number of avenues: not just through his paintings but also by looking at his letters and watching video contributions from a number of specialists in the artists work.”

The app is available for iPad, and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store. It costs £6.99.
