Motorola Launches Second-generation 360 Watch, and Sport Model

Moto_360_2nd-gen_Combo_LifestyleMotorola has launched the second generation of its Android Wear-powered Moto 360 smartwatch range.

The devices offer improved battery life over the original 360 watch, and a focus on customisation. Like Motorolas handsets, the watches look and accessories – including colours, watchband materials and the faces bezel – can be picked using the online Moto Maker tool. The watch also offers quick-release bands that can be easily switched between, and separate designs for men and women.

The launch also includes the silicon-banded Moto 360 Sport, which promises to let users leave their smartphone behind when going for a run. The device uses built-in GPS to track speed, along with a heart rate sensor for biometric data, and can be used to store and play music without requiring a paired mobile device.

The 360 Sport will be available later this year, after the main 360 launch.
