Home automation producer Nest has expanded its line of products to four more countries in Europe, adding to the five European locations its products are already sold in.

Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain have joined the UK, Belgium, France, Ireland and the Netherlands in stocking the Google-owned company’s home energy, safety and security products. Nest’s products are also available in the US and Canada.

“Nest is focused on creating a home that takes care of the people inside it and the world around it,” said Matt Rogers, co-founder and CPO at Nest. “This expansion brings us closer to achieving our goal of helping people around the world save energy, stay safe, and feel secure in their homes.”

The products arriving in the four new European locations are Nest’s Learning Thermostat, Protect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, Cam Indoor, and Cam Outdoor. These will be available in each location from 15 February.

Lionel Paillet, GM of Europe for Nest, said: “To date, Nest’s hardware, software and services have been available for purchase in just seven markets, yet they’re used by millions of people in more than 190 countries.”
