TikTok launches Oi TikTok rap show, supported by JD Sports

TikTok is launching a three-part rap show called Oi TikTok, supported by JD Sports, as part of its new #Rap campaign launched last month.

A home for Rap music and culture, each Oi TikTok show will feature interviews, performances from established and emerging artists, comedy shorts and more. Episode one airs tonight at 7pm BST, hosted by leading TikTok comedy creator Moyo and hip hop DJ Ellie Prohan, and featuring Dréya Mac and SwitchOTR.

22 years old, Dréya Mac has become one of TikToks breakout stars, sharing her music and her life with her 1.4m fans. In 2021, her track with FelixThe1st, “Own Brand Freestyle”, massively took off in the UK and around the world, with almost 6m video creations and hitting #3 on the Global Viral 50 Spotify Chart. Her honest, warm and unabashed style makes her the perfect guest to feature on our first Oi TikTok show.

A long-standing champion of British music, JD Sports is lending its support, bringing its own Crep-Cam to the show, as well as featuring familiar faces from the JD fam in each episode.

The shows have been produced and co-created by London-based creative house, Out Since Tuesday. The first show will go live on Dréyas TikTok channel, with two further shows to come on 1 and 8 June, featuring secret special guests in the rap scene to be revealed soon.

“JD is delighted to be supporting the launch of Oi TikTok,” said Peter Cowgill, JD Executive Chair. “Our partnership with TikTok goes from strength to strength as we continue to deliver unique, engaging, and entertaining content with the platform. As a brand, JD has a long-standing association with rap music, youth culture and fashion, so this collaboration aligns closely with our core values as we continue to champion the UK rap scene, as well as support grassroots talent.”
