Accenture Interactive acquires Hamburg-based creative agency

Accenture Interactive has acquired Kolle Rebbe, a creative agency based in Hamburg for an undisclosed fee. The acquisition is the groups third German agency acquired in less than two years, having taking a leading share of SinnerSchrader in 2017, and purchased special effects specialists Mackevision in January 2018.

The new addition to the groups portfolio adds around 300 staff to its German operation, significantly strengthening its creative arm in the region. Kolle Rebbe was founded in 1994, and has created campaigns and digital content for clients including Netflix, Google, Audi and TUI Cruises.

“While Accenture Interactive already works for many leading brands in Germany, we know that propelling our future growth requires expanding our portfolio of marketing and digital services to deliver even more innovative customer experiences to clients,” said Matthias Schrader, head of Accenture Interactive in Germany.

“Together with Kolle Rebbe, we will have the ability to deliver end-to-end brand experiences, from activation in traditional media to targeting in programmatic channels and personalised content and eCommerce. Acquiring Kolle Rebbe advances our global strategy to bolster Accenture Interactives creative footprint and talent in the market.”

Beyond Germany, Accentures acquisition of creative agencies has hardly abated, with the group having picked up Rothco, Karmarama and The Monkeys in the last few years, and less than two weeks ago, it acquired New Content, a Brazilian content marketing agency.
