Another Visual Voicemail Deployment for Comverse

Chilean mobile operator Entel has selected Comverse to deliver visual voicemail to mobile handsets and PCs. Instead of dialling in for messages, Entels subscribers will receive their voicemail as multimedia messages (MMS) on their handsets. Users then click to hear the voice messages and can respond immediately to the caller by clicking to reply.
For subscribers in front of a computer at home or in an office, Entel is now offering voicemail to email. Users receive their voice messages as attachments to email messages, clicking to hear messages in any order they want. Users can also save, forward or delete messages.
In these fast-paced times, our users want ways to handle their voice messages quickly, says Alfredo Albetman, Manager of Value Added Services for the Consumer Market at Entel. The appealing visual voicemail services that we are deploying significantly improve the user experience, enabling our subscribers for the first time to choose what suits them best.
Comverse visual voicemail is part of the Comverse HUB value-added services, which spans voice, messaging, mobile Internet and mobile advertising. Comverse HUB is a synergistic framework that enables service providers to maximise their business performance and augment their position in the market.
Comverse has more than two-thirds of commercial deployments worldwide. The company says that upon deployment, many operators have reported an increase in ARPU (average revenue per user) for voicemail services of 30 – 50 %.
