Blinkbox Mobile Sales Up 674 Per Cent

Tesco-owned video streaming service Blinkbox saw a 245 per cent year-on-year increase in overall sales over the Christmas period (25 November – 5 January).
Thats impressive enough, but sales on mobile devices increased by 674 per cent. That growth was largely driven by tablets, including Tesco’s own Hudl devices – 400,000 of which were sold in the three months leading up to Christmas – which comes preloaded with a Blinkbox app.
65 per cent of sales come from non-PC devices, including connected TVs, set top boxes and games consoles as well as smartphones and tablets.
