Clarks Steps into Mobile Commerce

High street shoe retailer Clarks has launched a mobile commerce site, designed and built by Mobile Interactive Group (MIG). The site, Clarks first, enables shoppers to browse and buy products on their mobile.

Richard Houlton, director of channels at Clarks, says: “Multichannel retailing is a major focus for Clarks and it is essential to give our customers choice. We partnered with MIG because of their strong leadership in this area and technical capabilities in the mobile retail space. They understood our requirements, and ensured the design of our mobile site was sympathetic to the brand and that it delivers a seamless user experience.”

MIG offers a web adapter functionality to build virtual APIs directly from the clients existing website, which can then be integrated into its mobile commerce platform as well as other third party platforms.
