The day when EE is no longer the only provider of 4G in the UK is creeping ever closer – and when it does, its prices will have to compare with other operators high-speed networks.
In the meantime, EE has continued to diversify its offering, with the launch of a range of 30-day SIM-only 4G plans.
Unlimited UK calls and texts are included in all of the plans, which start at £23 a month for a monthly data limit of 500MB, and run all the way to £63 a month for 20GB.
“Its our ambition to provide consumers with the most comprehensive range of 4GEE plans possible,” said Simeon Bird, EEs director of propositions. “With these new 30-day options, were pleased to be providing an even more flexible way to access 4G.”
Theres no word yet on how the other UK operators will price their own 4G offering when it launches. Earlier this week, Vodafone Spain launched the countrys first 4G network as a €9 bolt-on for its lower-paying subscribers, and free for those on pricier plans. If thats any indication of how pricing will work in the UK, then EE might have to be ready to change up its offering once again come autumn.
