The heavy rainfall in the UK over the past few weeks may have wound a lot of us up, but one company not complaining is The Weather Channel which saw 8m people accessing its content across web, mobile and Tablet devices, during the month of June.
The stat is revealed in a post on the Weather Channel blog. In the post, director of mobile, Mik Nicholson, says: “Our unique weather triggering technology, that allows retailers to advertise only when the sun makes a rare appearance is more relevant than ever during this dismal summer. We enable advertisers to cut out wasted impressions, and increase their return on investment as a result. We can’t change the weather, but we can change the results your advertising achieves during this drab old summer.”
