Timothy Sehn, former senior vice president of engineering at Snap before his resignation last December, is forming a new Data as a Service (DaaS) company called Liquidata, together with two former Snap colleagues, software developer Aaron Son, and software engineer Brian Hendriks.
When Sehn left Snap after four years with the company, he became the fourth senior executive to quit following the companys IPO in March 2017.
Sehn announced the new venture in a LinkedIn post on Monday, but gave few other details, other than to say that the company would be based out of Santa Monica, and that its first product should be out early next year.
Data as a Service enables companies to access data and insight services on demand, on a subscription model.
