Facebook has released a beta version of Facebook SDK 3.0 for iOS, which enables develops to create Facebook-integrated iOS apps. The update promises better user session management, improved support for Facebook API and Objective-C, and a range of pre-built user interface components for commonly-used functions.
“The new features make the SDK a natural extension of Apple’s iOS environment and make your development cycle more efficient by eliminating the need to develop and manage common tasks,” says Facebook engineer Jason Clark in a blog post.
The SDK is fully backwards compatible with previous releases, and will automatically integrate with iOS 6 when it becomes available.
