Socit Gnrale, one of Europes largest financial services groups, is to use Abaxias Mobile Tag solution as part of a campaign to recruit IT engineers. The campaign aims to recruit around 30 engineers, making this the worlds first tag-based human resources communication campaign.
MobileTag will enable prospective employees to use their mobile phone to access online videos that outline the different positions available to IT engineers within the companys Corporate and Investment Banking Depatment. Four different videos will be accessible, each presenting the key attributes and information for the positions available. This is the first time that this technology has been used to communicate job specifications and form part of a Pan-European recruitment campaign.

MobileTag is an embedded application that enables camera-phones to read and decipher data matrix prints, known as Tags, which appear as a small square symbol that can be inserted into any text on a paper document, on television, or any kind of advertisement. By using this technology, MobileTag can provide mobile users with instant access to dynamic and personalised SMS services and mobile internet sites, including job specifications and advertisements.
