Google to hold company-wide to discuss anti-diversity memo, as author speaks out

Google is set to hold a company-wide meeting today (10 August) to discuss the controversial diversity memo written by, and the subsequent firing of, former software engineer James Damore.
The meeting will be held by Google CEO Sundar Pichai and is scheduled to kick off at 4pm PT, according to Business Insider. Google regularly holds town hall meetings but this one is expected to be a little different in light of the recent memo post.
What will perhaps add even more fire to the flames is that Damore has now spoken out for the first time since his firing – and has stood by the memo, saying he feels betrayed by Google. He also says that Google higher-ups had seen the memo before it got leaked, and nobody reacted negatively until the document was in the hands of the media. 
It will be interesting to see what comes out of the meeting, and if any people in the meeting choose to defend Damore. Until then, here are my views on the firing of Damore.
