HootSuite Acquires uberVU for Improved Social Media Analytics

HootSuite has acquired uberVU, a social analytics solution, for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition will enable HootSuite to incorporate the analytics product, which picks out influencers for chosen topics and detects spikes in sentiment, location or demographic in real time, into its social media management platform

HootSuite will also gain uberVUs team of engineers, and gives it access to the companys existing roster of over 200 enterprise customers, including NBC, Heinz and Fujitsu.
