Monitise Acquires Markco Media for £55m

monitise_logo_blk_hi_resGlobal mobile money technology provider Monitise has acquired Markco Media, the parent company for and Last Second Tickets, in an effort to enhance its international mCommerce network.

The £55m acquisition augments Monitises Buy Anything mCommerce product offerings by connecting them to a global network of 60,000 brands and retailers, and accelerates Monitises capabilities in line with the platform investment it announced in March. is a voucher, coupon and deals site that works with 80 per cent of the UKs leading online retailers, while Last Second Tickets works directly with promoters, producers and venues to secure discounts for live music, entertainment events and leisure experiences. Monitise plans on making this content available via its targetable end-consumer base using the mobile applications of partners and clients the group works with.
