Motoring.co.uk Mobile Traffic Accelerates

Automotive online portal Motoring.co.uk has seen visits from mobile devices soar by 230 per cent over the last 12 months. In January 2011, visits from mobile and tablet devices accounted for 4.9 per cent of the sites visitors – in January 2012, that figure rose to 12.8 per cent.

“We have seen massive growth of visitors using mobile and Tablets – and we believe that the iPad will overtake iPhone within six months, to become the number one mobile browser,” says Terry Hogan, Motoring.co.uk MD. “We also know that iPad users view 25 percent more pages than iPhone users due to a larger screen size and that non mobile users continue to view more pages than mobile users.”
