McDonalds UK and Ireland hires Graham-Clare 
McDonald’s UK and Ireland has announced the appointment of Michelle Graham-Clare to Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer.

Since joining the business in January 2015, Graham-Clare has played a pivotal leadership role in the UK & Ireland Marketing Team, holding a number of key roles across all categories, most recently in the role of VP, Marketing & Food Development.

Graham-Clare, who worked as a crew member at McDonald’s earlier in life, will take ultimate responsibility for all food strategy and marketing campaigns as well as continuing to lead her marketing teams and agency partners. Her leadership over the last 18 months has been pivotal as she helped the business through the pandemic, with award-winning work delivering record-breaking Brand scores for the UK and Irish business.

The quality of work delivered by both internal teams and agency partners speaks volumes to Graham-Clares long-term emphasis on developing the talent around her. She has overseen the exceptional delivery of a leading food strategy, and award-winning marketing campaigns including the McCafe range, Spicy McNuggets, and the Grand Big Mac, which is currently the most successful promotion to date for the UK and Ireland.

VCCP CX announces two senior hires
VCCP CX, the customer experience arm of VCCP, welcomes Scott Ewings as CEO, and Josette James as Client Partner.

Ewings is a veteran brand experience leader with a track record of driving client and agency impact dating back to early internet and technology cycles. He has a relentless and highly progressive stance on upgrading the agency landscape to be more focused on achieving purpose and fostering talent. Ewings notably led Fjord, Ustwo and Potato (part of AKQA/WPP) in the UK, helping to establish them all as outstanding digital product studios, as well as working client-side as an experience strategy leader with Vodafone in Australia. Scott is also an active member of the ‘Tech for Good’ movement.

With a passion for the customers experience of the brand and creating more innovative, modern interactions James joins with an enviable and unique leadership experience in brand, CRM, performance media and technology agency roles. James was previously Global Client Partner and Head of Account Management at Wunderman Thompson and prior to this, worked at agencies including Merkle Consulting as EMEA SVP, PSONA as Managing Director and TMW, as well as spending 8 years at Wunderman where she rose to the role of Chief Client Officer.

James is credited with being the master at creating successful roadmaps for clients to achieve high impact approaches to their business with brands such as IKEA, INGKA, Sky and News UK amongst them. In her role at VCCP she will oversee key relationships with clients including Canon, Kia, Domino’s, Reckitts and Abbotts.

H Code recruits Whant 
Digital media company, H Code has announced the appointment of Adrian Whant as Vice President of Marketing.

With over 15 years of creative, strategic and media-tech marketing leadership, Whant is skilled in creating revenue-generating advertising sales strategies and marketing solutions for media brands across digital and linear ad products, programmatic, creator/influencer, and video streaming platforms.

In his most recent role, Whant served as Head of Global Marketing and Brand Partnerships at BroadbandTV, a media-tech company that distributes, manages, and monetizes creators and publishers content on YouTube and social media platforms. There, he created their first monetizable multicultural advertising program “Voices of Color that allows brands to reach Black, Latinx, and Asian audiences and creators on YouTube.

He has also served as Head of Global Monetization Strategy and Brand Solutions at ABS-CBN Corporation where he led a winning response to the 2020 Census RFP calling for a multi-channel awareness campaign targeting Filipino audiences in the U.S

Mathews joins Lycamobile 
Mobile virtual network operator, Lycamobile has announced the appointment of Solomon Mathews as Chief Executive Officer for its Ugandan Operations.

Mathews has spent over a decade working in the highly competitive Indian telecoms market. He joins Lycamobile from Vodafone Idea, where he was Vice President & Head of Sales for three years. During his time in post, Matthews managed a customer base of 15m and oversaw business revenues of $500m as he helped steer the business to a market leadership position in the geographies under his remit. He played a leading role in the launch of Vodafone Idea’s 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE offerings, and received a number of awards during his tenure for exceptional contribution to the business.

Mathews has over 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles across Business Operations and Sales & Marketing for companies including Airtel and Idea Cellular. He has extensive experience in implementing best in-class operating plans, focusing on developing innovative products, building brands, scaling up customer acquisition, and realising top and bottom-line results. Over the course of his career, he has led large teams and managed a complex network of B2C & B2B channel partners, retail stores, and a distribution network of retailers.

Druva appoints Chief Marketing Officer 
Cloud data protection and management company, Druva has appointed Ash Parikh as Chief Marketing Officer.

Parikh joins Druva from Informatica, where he held a number of marketing leadership positions over the last 14 years. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Marketing, where he focused on marketing strategy, digital-first demand generation, connected campaigns, growth marketing, brand awareness, and operational excellence.

In his role, Parikh was pivotal in helping the company secure and maintain a leadership position in major industry analyst evaluations spanning a number of years, while building its position in the industry as a leading cloud data management vendor. He also led the marketing effort in Informatica’s transformation to a subscription and cloud-first business model.

Whats Possible Group hires Editorial Manager 
Marketing group, Whats Possible has announced the appointment of Quintus Potgieter to the newly created role of Editorial Manager, overseeing their innovative marketing community.

Potgieter will use his substantial radio and podcasting experience to bring a unique editorial style to the community. He is the founder of Quintessential, a South African specialist in digital content and media production and nominated for Best Internet Radio Show at the South African Radio Awards. He will report to Sharon Cahill Browne, who oversees the groups brand and marketing.

Blippar bolsters senior team 
Augmented reality (AR) technology company, Blippar has appointed Dahlia Basar, Mark McDonagh, and Patrick Timoney to its executive team, with Basar joining as Strategic Partnerships Director, McDonagh as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Timoney joining as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Basar joins Blippar with over 18 years of experience leading commercial and strategic partnerships globally, across roles that include tech giants Google and YouTube. As the Global Strategic Partnerships lead for YouTube, she oversaw integrating the UK team with global teams within Google and Alphabet, and drove partnership scheme development at scale. As Google Grants/Non-Profit Lead she built the Google Grants business from launch to onboarding up to 400 nonprofit and NGO’s to the Google platform.

More recently, she co-founded Congress London, a non-profit womens network focused on designing events on topics that foster advancement and confidence in women across multiple industries, successfully growing partner membership from 40 to 700 in two years, and partnering with multiple non-profits who positively impacted their local communities.

McDonagh will be familiar to many in the startup and entrepreneurial worlds, having personally interviewed over 3,000 business founders in his role as Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of The Startup Van, an award-winning multimedia platform that, since 2016, has elevated the conversation around startups and entrepreneurship, and gained over 60 million views online. In this role, Mark also launched ‘The Roundup’ – the first and only daily show for founders in the UK – and worked with WeWork to co-produce a series called ‘Behind the Curtain. 

McDonagh’s background also includes roles as Chief Growth Officer, UK, and Ireland with education software developer Xplor, and as a Senior Account Manager, SAAS Startup Acquisition with IBM. His strong links in the technology and entrepreneurial communities also extend to Tech London Advocates and sitting on the judging panel at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. 

Timoney joins as CFO having spent the past eight years as VP of Finance and Strategy at virtual simulation and world building unicorn Improbable, responsible for the companies’ business partnerships, investment strategy, and day-to-day financial operations. He was previously an Associate Consultant at Stroud Consulting, focusing on the manufacturing and supply chain sector. Timoney began his career in scientific research around theoretical physics, having worked as a Research Scientist at both the University of Oxford and Belarusian State University, and as a Research Associate at BAE systems.

ViewersLogic hires Sagie
Single source, consumer behaviour data expert, ViewersLogic has announced the appointment of Irit Sagie into the role of VP Product.

In her role – a first for ViewersLogic – Sagie will focus on shaping the development of the business’ product and offering to fit market needs in a scalable manner. She joins the ViewersLogic team at an important time for the industry, as valuable, actionable data needs to be uncovered for marketers to measure the ‘performance’ of media spend. Sagie also brings with her the skills and experience to uncover these insights while also driving growth and customer success.

Having been in the data space for over seven years, with a focus on analytics and business intelligence platforms around several industries, Sagies last role was at Sisense, where she was a Solution Engineer, Product Manager.

BrandMaker expands leadership team
Marketing operations and marketing resource management solutions company, BrandMaker has announced Jeffrey A. Cross appointment to Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Managing Director of North America.

A seasoned finance and operations leader, Cross brings 30 years of experience in driving growth and operational efficiency across complex environments. He has held executive leadership roles with technology and data companies, including Arena Software, Dunn & Bradstreet, and TravelClick.

Outreach welcomes Littlepage
Sales intelligence and engagement platform provider, Outreach, has announced Melton Littlepage has joined as Chief Marketing Officer.

Littlepage is a seasoned software marketing leader with a strong track record of innovation, creativity, and growth acceleration in enterprise SaaS leaders. He joins Outreach from Tenable, where he led marketing for one of the most respected and innovative brands in cybersecurity. Littlepage also served as senior vice president of marketing at New Relic and as CMO at Schoology, the edtech leader acquired by PowerSchool.

Prior to that, he held a succession of marketing leadership roles for more than 10 years at Concur, a multi-billion dollar B2B SaaS company.

Toluna promotes Lelièvre
Consumer insights provider, Toluna announced the appointment of Mathilde Lelièvre, the company’s Executive Vice President of Global Digital Operations, as Toluna’s Chief Operations Officer (COO).

In this role, Lelièvre will direct Toluna’s global business operations to meet client needs, ensure exceptional customer service delivery, and continue to scale the business during a period of ongoing innovation.

Lelièvre joined Toluna in 2005 as a Vice President of Operations, responsible for managing Toluna’s client services team. Over the past 15+ years, she has been instrumental in driving Toluna’s rapid growth and implementing the company’s global operations strategy. Her team, which began with only three members in a single location, now spans more than 10 markets and includes approximately 650 team members worldwide.

ShowHeroes hires Lewis
Independent provider of video solutions for digital publishers and advertisers, ShowHeroes Group welcomes Sarah Lewis as Global Director CTV.

Lewis previously held senior positions at SpotX, the globally operating SSP that is known for its pioneering work in CTV and was recently acquired by Magnite.

With her many years of experience in digital media and marketing, Lewis not only strengthens the management team, but also significantly enhances the companys CTV marketing expertise. After several key positions at BBC Worldwide, AOL and Fairfax Digital, Sarah Lewis joined SpotX in May 2017. As Senior Director and Head of Agency EMEA, she was an integral part of SpotXs CTV marketing and sales leadership team in Europe. Lewis maintains an excellent network across all relevant European media hubs and markets, as well as a deep-rooted understanding of the CTV space from both the demand and the supply side.
