NFC technology company Inside Secure has announced it has shipped more than 10m NFC solutions this year.
The company, which makes solutions for secure transactions and digital identity, says its MicroRead and SecuRead NFC solutions have shipped to a range of manufacturers, and argues that mainstream NFC adoption is imminent.
“Insides NFC chip shipments indicate that this market is achieving significant penetration as more and more mobile device and other consumer electronics device makers begin to integrate NFC functionality into their product offerings,” says Charles Walton, COO at Inside Secure. “It also means that device makers recognise the numerous advantages the MicroRead and SecuRead products offer in terms of performance, efficiency, cost savings and flexibility.”
Walton says that Inside Secure will ship an update to its SecuRead product in the first half of 2012 which will upgrade its security to 144Kb. The companys MicroRead and SecuRead solutions also offer the lowest standby current of any NFC solution in the industry, he says.
