Four UK retailers have announced the availability and pricing of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. The device will go on sale through Dixons Retail, owner of Currys and PC World, Carphone Warehouse, Best Buy (which part-owns Carphone Warehouse), Insight UK and Phones 4u on 16 June, with prices starting at £399 for a 16GB model.
Despite its name, BlackBerry PlayBook is described by its maker, RIM, as “the world’s first professional-grade tablet”, and features an ultra-portable design, advanced security features, support for Adobe Flash Player, and out-of-the-box enterprise support.
