Ryanair Allows Customers to Use Smart Devices on Flights

Ryanair has announced that it will now allow customers to use tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices at all times while on board its planes, as long as they are in flight mode.
The budget company is the first Irish airline to do so after the EU approved this back in November but it hasnt outlined plans to offer in-flight mobile internet. The EU said 3G and 4G flights are part of its long-term regulatory strategy, a move approved by the UKs Ofcom last month.
The airline reported a loss for the final quarter of the year, which it says was due to lower fares and sterlings weakness against the euro.
