Voice-to-Screen messaging company SpinVox has announced the appointment of Jim Kirkland as Director, Corporate Development, Mergers and Acquisitions. Based in San Francisco, Kirkland will assume global responsibility for strategic transactions, with the emphasis on incorporating advertising relationships in the voice messaging marketplace, enterprise engagements, and cable and wireline partnerships.
SpinVox is at a critical moment in its growth as a global corporation, says Christina Domecq, SpinVox CEO and co-founder. Jims depth of experience in creating relationships spans the carrier, content and technology space. To date, weve only scratched the surface of the potential for applications of voice-to-screen services. He will provide new depth as we expand into new arenas.
Kirkland previously served as the Executive Vice President, Strategic Development and General Counsel for Covad Communications Group. There, he orchestrated strategic agreements with EarthLink, AT&T and Verizon. Prior to Covad, he held a similar position with the broadband wireless Internet provider, Clearwire Technologies. Before Clearwire, Kirkland was a partner at Washington D.C. based Mintz Levin, one of the largest communications law practices in the US.
