Strive unveils first crypto-focused app and digital piggy bank

Strive, a family focused challenger bank, announced today the launch of the worlds first child-friendly physical piggy bank to integrate with the leading cryptocurrency wallets e.g. Coinbase, combined with an accompanying app for parents.

Strives app and hardware combo digitally displays any crypto wallet balance on the  the piggy bank. Parents can then use the accompanying app to schedule crypto payments, such as pocket money, and monitor their childs digital transactions. Both the app and the device are completely safe – secured with 265K encryption – protecting users data at all times. The experience is suitable for children as young as five years of age.

As part of the company’s educational approach, the team also plans to introduce a piggy bank mining edition, designed to mine Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Founded in 2020, Strives mission is to revolutionise the way we teach the next generation about money.

CEO and Co-Founder of Strive, Andrew Birt believes that while many adults are already exploring the dynamic world of cryptocurrency, we all have a responsibility to equip children with financial literacy skills and encourage responsible investing.

“Without a doubt, the crypto market is here to stay. With $2 trillion USD (£1.43 trillion GBP) now stored in crypto across 68m crypto wallets around the globe, there’s still a surprisingly visible lack of resources to teach kids about digital currency” said Birt. “This is why we’ve built Penny the Pig – to give everyone a simple, safe and responsible way to explore the space of cryptocurrencies and learn about the future of money.”

Penny the Pig piggybanks are priced at $149 USD (£106.87 GBP) each and can be pre-ordered from the Strive website.
