TikTok and Amazon collab to offer shoppable ads for in-app purchases

Amazon has teamed up with TikTok to introduce shoppable ads on the platform.

Meanwhile, this collaboration enables users to easily discover and purchase products from Amazon directly within the TikTok app.

This shopping experience is facilitated by Amazon through ads on TikTok, allowing users to complete purchases within TikTok’s environment.

However, it not yet being clear if only products sold by Amazon will be featured or if offers from third-party merchants will also be included..

Shoppers will encounter Amazon product recommendations in the “For You” feed. When ready to make a purchase, users can link their TikTok account to their Amazon account through a secure and straightforward one-time setup, the company stated.

Once the accounts are linked, Amazon customers can complete their checkout directly in the product ad without leaving the TikTok app, providing a faster and more seamless experience.

In a statement, the social media giant said: “We’re excited to collaborate with Amazon to offer a seamless and fun shopping experience. We look forward to supporting our community and keeping them inspired and entertained.”

For users in the U.S. who link their accounts, they will see real-time pricing, Prime eligibility, delivery estimates, and product details on selected Amazon product ads in TikTok.

Users can choose to unlink their Amazon account in TikTok’s app settings at any time if they wish.
