Tweakker Expands into Latin America

Tweakker has announced its first Latin American client in Costa Rican MVNO fullmóvil. Tweakker, which provides over-the-air device management services for MVNOs, is providing fullmóvil with a self-care, on-device internet connectivity service.

fullmóvil is Costa Ricas fastest growing MVNO, with 900 points-of-sale across the country. It uses the state-owned operator ICEs 3G network. Since September, the company has provided mobile users with a SIM-only service.

“Teaming with Tweakker is win-win as far as our customers and business model is concerned,” says Roberto Palla, representative of fullmóvil. “Mobile users have access to a world-class connectivity service every minute of the day from anywhere. The other side of the coin is that we as a full MVNO slashed our business costs from the very start by an estimated 95 per cent compared with costs that would have arisen if we had gone down the call centre route and set up our subscribers manually.”

Dennis Juul Poulsen, Tweakkers CEO, says the companys first Latin American client is a strong strategic move. “It opens a business opportunity for us to team with likeminded MVNOs across Latin and South America,” he says.

Tweakkers mobile device connectivity service supports more than 3,000 mobile models and 165 brands, says the company.
