Mobile marketing firm Upstream has opened a Silicon Valley HQ in Redwood City, California, as part of its strategic drive for growth in N. America, making its proven mobile marketing technology and solutions available to US brands and carriers.
Upstream CEO Alex Vratskides says the move demonstrates the firm’s ambitions in the marketplace, and its belief that its technology should be at the core of every marketing campaign aiming to maximize customer response and conversion.
“The mobile device is the greatest direct-response marketing medium ever devised, and we’re singularly focused on effectiveness,” says Vratskides. “Upstream delivers technology and campaign innovation that maximizes customer response to every marketing pitch and delivers the highest improvements in customer conversion rates.”
Upstream says its Marketing Communications Suite (MCS) technology platform and campaign management skills have so far generated more than $500m in incremental revenue for its brand and carrier clients around the world, including: Coca-Cola; Nestlé, Vodafone and Telefónica. The platform handles more than1bn interactions every year to over 500m consumers in 40 countries, and combines real-time, optimized communications; game mechanics and dynamics; contextualization and personalization; and analytics and consumer insights.
Upstream’s US headquarters will be headed-up by Michael Linnert, general manager, N. America. In addition to the Silicon Valley office, Upstream also has offices in London, Athens, Rome, Singapore, Bucharest and Dubai.
