ZOOMtxt, the self-service mobile marketing solution powered by KODIME, has been selected by Network World Events & Executive Forums, the organiser of DEMOfall 07, an annual emerging technology fair in San Diego, USA, as the mobile platform for the event.
All
conference attendees are actively encouraged to vote for their
favourite exhibitor during the conference. Voting is based on SMS
messaging to specific keywords, using a shortcode number to provide
instant calculation of votes and live monitoring.
ZOOMtxt also
hosts a voting website, enabling attendees to vote from kiosks and
other Internet-enabled devices. All elements are managed directly from
ZOOMtxts intuitive, web-based interface, and results are collated in
real-time. Strict tracking ensures that attendees may only vote once,
no matter which channel they use. The ultimate winner by combined votes
will be awarded the Peoples Choice Award. Network World Events staff
are also able to edit and add polling questions at any time to gather
feedback on discussion topics arising during the course of the event.
The
products and technologies being showcased at DEMOfall 07 highlight a
magnificent change that blends and leverages distributed computing
power with the social Web to fundamentally change information creation,
access to knowledge and the power that comes with both, says DEMO
Executive Producer, Chris Shipley. An important element of this change
is the transition to a mobile lifestyle, so its a logical step for the
conference organizers Network World to also actively embrace mobile.
KODIME CEO Nico Kpke adds:
We
are seeing an increased use of mobile marketing technology for voting,
news alerts, last minute ticket updates and location-based information
during live events. Mobile is the perfect digital channel for a
scenario where all participants are essentially on the move.
