Effective Mobile Marketing Award Winners Revealed

[img_assist|nid=15282|title=|desc=|link=popup|align=left|width=150|height=92]Sainsbury’s, Pepsi, New Look, Debenhams and Sky were among the winners at the 2011 Effective Mobile Marketing Awards Ceremony, headline-sponsored by Upstream, and co-sponsored by OpenMarket and Propel, which is in full party mode right now after the winners were revealed and the Awards handed out just a few minutes ago. Agencies honoured included MIG, Incentivated, Rippll, Txtlocal, Rabarba and Fetch Media.

This year’s Awards program attracted 154 entries from major brands and agencies from across the world. These were whittled down to 86 finalists across 17 categories. In addition to the winners, the judges also handed out Highly Commended awards in seven of the 17 categories, where the result was almost too close to call. 240 guests joined us at Delfina in London for this evening’s ceremony, headline-sponsored by Upstream, and co-sponsored by OpenMarket and Propel.

“This has been an outstanding Awards Program, with an exceptionally high standard of entries” says Helen Keegan, who joined Mobile Marketing editor David Murphy on stage to  present the trophies earlier this evening. “Tonight, we recognised the very best that the mobile marketing business has to offer, and saw how brands are using the mobile channel in innovative and effective ways to engage with their customers, and drive both loyalty and sales. It’s thrilling to see entries coming in from all over the world – it’s a sign of how much mobile marketing has grown and evolved over the last 10 years.”
