CreditCall, the specialist payment gateway and EMV Chip technology provider, has incorporated its CardEase Mobile technology into Elavon MobileMerchant, the world’s first Chip and PIN card reader and mobile payment app for Android and BlackBerry smartphones and Tablets.

After a successful five-month trial, Elavon MobileMerchant is now available to businesses on the move, including plumbers, cleaning services, photographers, stall owners, and many more. Elavon MobileMerchant users also get access to an online reporting tool, enabling them to track payments or process cardholder not present transactions by using the included virtual terminal application.

Elavon MobileMerchant uses a fully EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) certified PIN pad and is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). No sensitive card data can be stored on the app, the card reader or the smartphone, and all data traffic is encrypted. The solution accepts both Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, and both Chip and PIN and magnetic cards can be processed.
