As a result of the acquisition, which is set to be finalised as early as next week [1 July 2024], CyberAgent announced that it would support its new subsidiary’s efforts to expand its IP-related business globally and develop new content.

Additionally, the games publisher added that it hopes that NitroPlus’s multimedia activities in games, animation, novels, and illustrations will enhance its global entertainment ambitions.

Meanwhile, the NitroPlus brand and current leadership will remain unchanged following the acquisition.

NitroPlus President Takashi Kosaka Kosaka, said: “With the new structure with CyberAgent, I will focus even more on content production and shift up the gears of production at NitroPlus so that we can create more groundbreaking content.

“With the barriers between countries disappearing in the content industry, content from Japan should be able to spread even more globally. I would like to improve the quality of NitroPlus’ unique works together with CyberAgent and send them out to the world.”

CyberAgent President and CEO Susumu Fujita added: “Nitroplus has a deep knowledge and love for content, and the power to materialise it. They have something we don’t have, and the value of their organisation and brand is very high, so I think they’re truly valuable.”
