Flook Partners with Geocast for Localised Vouchers

Flook has announced a content partnership with Geocast, the UK, location-based ad network that gives users access to local money saving vouchers. This is the ninth content partnership that Flook has signed since its inception in 2009.

The agreement offers businesses the opportunity to mobilize their content, as well as precise local targeting and performance-related local mobile advertising. Flook users can now access these money saving vouchers in the application. Flook is a local search and discovery tool that helps people uncover and share the world around them. Users can share your local secrets while others share theirs with them.

Flook notes that more people are looking to save money today than ever before. According to Hitwise, internet searches for discount vouchers in the UK grew by 47.5 per cent in 2009. The central part of the partnership with Geocast is that Flook users will be able to discover business recommendations near them. Flook will automatically select the best offers from Geocast’s catalogue for inclusion in Flook’s content stream.

Geocast vouchers will be presented as full featured content in Flook, enabling its users to discover great deals nearby through Flook’s award-winning local discovery user interface. Flook also provides a booking form on the back of the Geocast cards so users can take advantage of the offers simply by flipping a Flook card over, without leaving the application.

“Our partnership with Flook will give their users access to vouchers for businesses by location, which will save them money,” says Geocast founder, Brad Liebmann. “On our side, using Flook to show users exactly where these businesses are with photos of those locations, as well as providing them with user feedback on those businesses, will enhance the experience for all users across the Geocast network, including Flooks.”
