Just Eat Launches Hackathon in Bristol

Online takeaway service Just Eat is holding a hackathon event in Bristol, to mark the opening of its new Technology Innovation Hub in the region.
Participants are being challenged to using Just Eats API to come up with ideas to improve its service, from app functions to digital marketing campaigns.
“Over the past 12 months Just Eat’s technology team has been working hard to deliver everything from innovative mobile apps to new electronic point of sale technology for our restaurant partners to ensure we remain the number one takeaway service,” said Just Eat CTO Carlos Morgado. 
Ideas from previous hackathons which Just Eat has introduced include NFC-enabled posters, which recently rolled out across its partner restaurants in the UK, and OpenRastaSwagger, a public meta-data tool which is now available to the developer community.
