Oreo is asking fans to create its next flavour in return for $500k

Oreo #MyOreoCreation #ContestOreo, a Mondelez International brand, has launched its latest social campaign, this time by asking fans to create their own flavours for the chance to win a cool $500,000 (£386.391).

To celebrate the release of its limited edition ‘Firework’ flavour, Oreo wants fans to take part in the #MyOreoCreation #Contest on Twitter and Instagram by submitting their idea for a flavour via photo, video, or just text with the aforementioned hashtags.

“Our newest limited edition flavour got us thinking – if we can create a Firework Oreo cookie, what else could we create? And who better to ask than those who are already sharing their flavour and creation ideas,” said Madeline Vincent, brand manager at Oreo. “We’ve always loved hearing and seeing our fans’ ideas and now we’re thrilled to merge that passion and creativity with Oreo innovation to come up with future Oreo Wonder Vault creations.”

There will be three finalists, who will win $25,000 each and see their ideas on select retail shelves around the US in May 2018 – before the grand prize winner is chosen via a fan vote in July 2018. On top of the $500,000, the winner will also get a ‘never-been-done-before’ tasting experience of unreleased Oreo products. The competition is open between now and 14 July 2017.
