Thetrainline.com has dropped the booking fee that it previously charged for bookings made via its mobile app. The app is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Nokia, Samsung, and selected Sony-Ericsson handsets. Bookings made via the phone were originally subject to a £1 per transaction booking fee, but going forward, the fee will not be charged.
Tickets can be booked through the app up to 10 minutes before travel. Once you have paid for your ticket via the app, you are given a booking reference number. Enter this in one of the ticket machines at your station to get your tickets printed.
