Iconosys has launched Word Bully 2.0, the latest app in its PunkBlocker line of apps, which enables parents to filter offensive or threatening language. The Android app monitors inbound and outbound SMS for 4,500 words and character sets, which parents can build on by adding to a custom list. Any messages that meet the criteria are automatically forwarded to parent’s phone. The app also includes a Trick or Tracker location retrieval service, informing parents of the childs whereabouts.
We have been planning this app since the inception of Iconosys, and thousands of baby steps later, we’ve got it,” says Wayne Irving II, CEO and co-founder of Iconosys. “We are very pleased with the functionality of this app and feel that this important development in child and teen safety will give parents more comfort and peace of mind when purchasing Android phones for their kids.”
