LUX Beauty Boutique Lets Shoppers Pay In-aisle

In a bid to prevent showrooming and bust queues, Lux Beauty Boutique is trialling an app that enables shoppers to get product information and pay for goods without having to go to the till.
Using SelfPay, shoppers can scan the items barcode in store to view pricing and product information and then go straight to the checkout on their handset.
Digital Retail Apps, creators of SelfPay, say they have patent-pending purchase verification tech so retailers can ensure that all items have been paid for before the shopper leaves. 
The stores entire product inventory has been put into the cloud by Vend, a cloud-based POS provider, so that stock can be managed in one place. The SelfPay app can be customised for use by any retailer.
