Third Series of Sherlock Gets Interactive with iOS App

BBC drama Sherlock, which returns for a third series on New Year’s Day, is launching an accompanying iOS app, Sherlock: The Network.
Rather than a second-screen app intended to be used along with the show – which wouldnt necessarily fit with the programmes dramatic tone – the app is a mobile game that focuses on extending the Sherlock brand.
Developed by the Project Factory, the app features 10 cases for players to crack by travelling around a virtual London and solving puzzles, which will unlock exclusive footage starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, who play Sherlock and Watson. 
The app launches on 15 January, two weeks after the series premieres.
