Global mobile advertising marketplace Adfonic is opening up in New York. Headquartered in London, the company has experienced rapid growth since its launch 18 months ago and already serves over 2bn impressions per month for clients including Sky, Yell.com and Peugeot, through a network of over 3,500 publishers. The new, Murray Hill premises are the latest addition to Adfonic’s growing number of global operations across Europe and the US.
James MacDonald, a member of Adfonic’s senior management team previously based at the company’s London headquarters, has relocated to New York to head up the new operation and lead the company’s growth in the region in his new role as GM N. America. MacDonald has been involved in mobile advertising since its earliest days and held senior commercial positions with O2 Media, 2ergo and Unanimis prior to joining Adfonic.
“There is great potential for us to expand our business further into the US, market and James was the natural choice to lead our regional commercial strategy and operations,” says Adfonic CEO, Victor Malachard. “He brings immense knowledge and experience to the new role, and I’m delighted that he has accepted it.”
MacDonald says: “The opportunity to build our presence, profile and team here in New York and to continue to deliver both great results to advertisers as well as quality revenue to publishers is very compelling. It is an exciting time for mobile advertising, and I’m looking forward to driving Adfonic’s business forward over here.”
