Alex Duncan appointed CTO at Global

Global has announced that Alex Duncan will become its new Chief Technology Officer starting 1st September 2025.

Dunacn is joining from the British Heart Foundation, where she has been CTO since 2022.

She led a team of over 350 people and focused on using AI to boost the charity’s impact. Before that, she was CTO at Ambassador Theatre Group, Director of IT at QVC, and Head of Online Development at lastminute.com, where she began her career as a software engineer.

At Global, Alex will join the board and report directly to Group CEO Simon Pitts.

She will lead a 200-person technology team covering areas like broadcast engineering, ad tech, cyber security, data, and enterprise systems.

She’s also no stranger to audio, having launched the UK arm of streaming station PulseRadio 25 years ago. We’re very excited to have Alex on board.”
