Amazon hires ex-Microsoft exec as new VP

Former Microsoft gaming executive J Allard has joined Amazon as vice president of product, specifically within the Devices and Services team, which oversees products like Echo and Alexa.
Known for co-founding Xbox and playing a pivotal role in launching Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, Allard’s 20-year tenure at Microsoft solidified his legacy in the gaming world, GeekWire first reported.
After a brief stint at Intellivision Entertainment in 2020, he has since worked with various companies, including GoFundMe and Project 529, before taking on this new role at Amazon.
