Google has worked with Bose to make the latest version of audio equipment maker’s noise-cancelling QC35s headphones optimised for Google Assistant.

The QC35 II headphones to connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth and can be linked up to the device’s Google Assistant app. Once linked, Assistant can be accessed via the ‘action’ button on the headphones, meaning the wearer can communicate with Google’s virtual assistant without needing to pull out their phone.

With the addition of the Assistant capability, wearers of the QC35 II will be able to hear their incoming messages, calendar events, and more through their headphones automatically – even during a song. Furthermore, it can be used to access music playlists or listen to the news more easily on-the-go.

Assistant can also be used to make, and take, calls through the headphones without the need to stop or dial.

“We’ve worked together with Bose to create a great Assistant experience on the QC35 II – whether you’re on a crowded street or squished on a bus, Bose’s active noise cancellation will help eliminate unwanted sounds around you, so you’re able to hear your Assistant, your music and more,” said Tomer Amarilio, product manager for Google Assistant, in a blog post.

Assistant will be available on the QC35 II in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and France.
