Carling Pours Another iPint with Follow-up App

Carling-iPintMolson Coors has launched an updated version of the Carling iPint app to promote the beer brand.

Back in 2012, Apple named the original iPint one of the UK App Stores 20 most downloaded free apps of all time.

The new version, developed by mobile agency Hi Mum Said Dad, adds an Office Escape mini-game – tying into the brands recent TV campaign – and the ability to Cheers together with another app user to receive cashback rewards on purchases.

The app also allows for location-targeted marketing via iBeacon compatibility, which will be used to offer region-specific rewards and prizes.

“The revamped Carling iPint app is the perfect example of how Molson Coors is generating consumer excitement in the beer category,” said customer marketing director Alpesh Mistry. “By working with exclusive partners in the on- and off-trade, we are enabling customers across multiple channels to unlock consumer value.”

The launch will be supported by a on-pack promotion, offering buyers a £5-off voucher code to be redeemed through the app.
