Temu tops UK App Store as most downloaded iPhone app of 2024

Temu has emerged as the most downloaded iPhone app in the United Kingdom in 2024, according to newly released App Store data from Apple.
This highlights the growing popularity and trust that UK consumers have placed in the direct-from-factory platform.
Globally, Temu holds the top spot in 24 markets, including the United States, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Australia, South Korea, and Mexico. It ranks second in key markets such as Italy, France, and Japan.
However, Shein was ranked as the second most downloaded app, followed by Threads, Vinted, ChatGPT and TikTok, respectively. 
Tesco, Whatsapp, Google and Microsoft Authenticator followed.
Amongst these apps also sat, Facebook, Telegram, Uber, YouTube and Gmail.
