Snapchat tests Sponsored Snaps and Promoted Places with Disney, McDonald’s, Taco Bell

Snapchat has begun testing two new advertising formats: Sponsored Snaps and Promoted Places, in partnership with Disney, McDonald’s, and Taco Bell.

Sponsored Snaps allow businesses to engage users with full-screen vertical video ads that appear in users’ inboxes, which they can opt to open and respond to.

Promoted Places, meanwhile, highlight sponsored locations on the Snap Map, encouraging users to explore and visit those spots.

Early data suggests a 17.6% increase in visits to “Top Picks” locations.

Snapchat plans to evolve these features further, exploring integrations with CRM systems and AI chatbot support.
