Chester Zoo has launched an iOS app which changes its content based on the users location.
The app, designed by digital agency Code Computerlove, is made up of two halves – one aimed at people planning a future visit to the zoo, another for visitors seeking more info.
For future visitors, the app offers venue info, including news and whats-on guides, as well as the ability to buy tickets.
However, if the user is already at the zoo, the app serves up a guide, which features a GPS-enabled map of the venue, a calendar of the days events, and a gamification feature which challenges users to collect badges by visiting 58 different animal enclosures.
An Android version of the app is due to launch in the near future.
