Dating app Bumble launches professional networking feature

Bumble BizzBumble, the female-first dating app rival of Tinder, isn’t afraid of using its platform to try something different, as evidenced when it introduced Bumble BFF to help people connect with new friends as opposed to potential partners. Now, it’s hoping to help its 21m registered users to form a different kind of relationship entirely: a business one.

Bumble Bizz is another new section to the app for networking. Just like the original purpose of Bumble, it empowers women to make the first move with a potential business partner, mentor, industry leader, or brand.

As with Bumble and Bumble BFF profiles, Bizz uses the same photo verification tool, so users can rest assured they are connecting with the person in the pictures.

Bizz has gone live within the Bumble app in the US, the UK, Canada, France and Germany for iOS users who update their app. Bumble says the feature will arrive on Android soon.
