DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is set to launch an app giving Delhi Metro commuters details of the transport system.
The state-owned DMRC has floated a tender for the apps development, with a final submission date of 28 March, to the value of 365,000,000 Rupees (£4.4k).
The app is intended to provide information about fares and stations, travel times and routes, and landmarks near to stations. It will feature location-based functionality for directions to stations, and cache all the information to limit data usage.
In the tender, the app is identified as just a smartphone application, without specifying which platforms it will be launched for.
