Dizzee Rascal can now help you get around through Waze

Island Records and Universal Music Group have partnered with Waze to provide the voice of iconic British MC and rapper Dizzee Rascal to the navigation app in celebration of the launch of his first album since 2017, E3 AF.

By activating Dizzee Rascal’s voice, drivers will hear references to some of his most popular songs – such as telling users to ‘Fix Up Look Sharp’ for police on the roads and warning them about the ‘Bonkers’ amount of traffic.

“We are more than excited to combine some of Dizzee Rascal’s famous lines with our voice navigation feature,” said Ruairidh Roberts, UK Country Manager at Waze. “While we can’t enjoy gigs in person this year, Dizzee will return smiles to our faces bringing a ‘live experience’ to our users as they listen to ‘E3 AF’ on their journeys.”

The rapper’s voice can be activated by visiting ‘Settings’, then ‘Voice & sound’, and finally ‘Waze voice’. Dizzee Rascal’s voice will be available until 30 November.

Dizzee Rascal fans can also listen to the new album through Deezer, Spotify, or YouTube Music directly via the Waze Audio Player feature.

“Island Records is proud to present the long-awaited Dizzee Rascal album E3 AF, straight out of Bow, East London,” said Alice Razack, Audience Manager, Island Records UK. “The Waze and Dizzee Rascal collaboration gives both fans and Waze users a unique experience whilst on the road, using the distinctive sounds of Dizzee Rascal’s voice through Waze’s navigation platform. Island Records and Waze invite you to use this one-of-a-kind voice pack and celebrate the new album, E3 AF.”
