Dropbox buys eSignature firm HelloSign for $230m

Dropbox desktop mobileDropbox has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire eSignature and document workflow platform HelloSign for $230m in cash. Dropbox hopes the acquisition can help to offer its users a better experience and simplify their workflows. The acquisition is expected to close during Q1 2019.

Despite the acquisition, HelloSign, which boasts over 80,000 customers, will continue to operate as normal within Dropbox. Its suite of capabilities includes eSignatures with HelloSign, online fax via HelloFax, customisable document workflow solutions in HelloWorks, and the HelloSign API.
