du Selects Nexmo for A2P Messaging

DuNexmo has announced a partnership with Middle East telco du to deliver application-to-person (A2P) messaging services to du’s subscribers. As part of the agreement, Nexmo’s cloud communication offerings will utilize message termination services for A2P traffic. In addition, Nexmo will assist du with messaging fraud and spam prevention.

A2P communications are used by financial institutions, airlines, hotel booking sites, social networks and other organisations to send messages from company systems to customers. “We are excited to be working with Nexmo to enable cloud-based A2P communications in the United Arab Emirates,” said Khaled Tabbara, Senior Vice President International Carrier Relations, du. “This partnership allows us to increase the value we deliver to our subscribers. With A2P communication becoming an increasingly prominent way for businesses to reach their customers, Nexmo is providing an additional resource that empowers us to meet the ever-evolving needs of our subscribers.”
